Anis Ben-Hatira: 'We deserved to win'

Hertha Berlin winger Anis Hen-Hatira believes that his side were hard done by not to beat Hannover.

Hertha Berlin winger Anis Ben-Hatira has insisted that his side deserved all three points in the 1-1 draw away to Hannover on Friday night.

Ronny hit a late free kick in a second half that the visitors dominated, but they were unable to grab the winner that Ben-Hatira felt that they deserved.

"We have to give ourselves a bit of kudos today," Ben-Hatira told Bundesliga.com. "I'm really proud of the team. Despite going 1-0 down, we kept our shape.

"There were a fair few players lining up to take the free kick which confused the goalkeeper, but if Ronny steps up you can be sure the ball will go in. I don't begrudge him the goal. I'm really happy for him.

"We deserved the goal and maybe even a second. We hit the post and had the chance to bring home the points. We would have deserved all three points, but we'd rather take one than none at all."

Hertha are currently sixth in the Bundesliga.
