Everton defender Bryan Oviedo has confirmed on his Twitter account that he will miss next month's World Cup in Brazil.
The 24-year-old, who suffered a double fracture in his left leg in January, was believed to be on course to return in time for the competition.
Oviedo tweeted on Saturday, however, to confirm that he will miss the tournament.
I just got the news. I gave my best, but I can not be at the World Cup. I know my team are going to do a great job. ¡Thanks for the support!
