The Football Association criticise The Sun's headline on England boss Roy Hodgson.

The Football Association have described The Sun's headline on England boss Roy Hodgson as "disrespectful".

The headline, 'EUROY 2012' is seemingly in reference to Hodgson's manner of speech, something which the FA have condemned.

It is understood that an official complaint will not be made but the matter has been raised with the newspaper.

FA chairman David Bernstein said: "We are delighted at the media response to Roy's appointment but are disappointed with the headline in The Sun, which we consider is in poor taste and disrespectful."

Hodgson was appointed as England boss on Tuesday.
