Andre Schurrle disappointed by draw with Manchester City

Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle admits that he is disappointed by his side's draw with Manchester City.

Chelsea winger Andre Schurrle has admitted his disappointment following the team's 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League.

Schurrle came off the bench to give the Blues the lead at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday before former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard found the net late on to earn a share of the spoils for City.

"It was important not to lose here," the German international told the club's official website. "That's what our goal was.

"When you're so close to winning and you're a man in front obviously it's disappointing not to win, but we have to keep going now and win the next match."

Chelsea begin their League Cup campaign on Wednesday when they welcome Bolton Wanderers to Stamford Bridge in the third round.
