Banner mocking Manchester United flown over stadium of rivals Manchester City

A banner mocking Manchester United with the message, 'United We Fall - in cinemas soon' is flown over Manchester City's Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City fans had a laugh at Manchester United's expense when a banner mocking their local rivals was flown over the Etihad Stadium at the weekend.

Prior to City's 1-1 draw with Chelsea on home turf, a small plane carried a banner reading, 'United We Fall - in cinemas soon', over the stadium.

The banner, which seemed to be mocking United's poor start to the season, appeared in the sky a matter of hours after Louis van Gaal's side suffered a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Leicester City at the King Power Stadium yesterday.

In March, a number of United fans pooled their money together to have a banner flown over Old Trafford with the message, 'Wrong One - Moyes Out' in a bid to force then-manager David Moyes out of the club.

The Scotsman was sacked less than a month later.
