The Crown Prosecution Service considers whether there is enough evidence to charge John Terry of racial abuse.

Scotland Yard have passed on the file concerning Chelsea captain John Terry's alleged racial abuse towards Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The case will now be considered by the Prosecution Service and a decision will be made on whether to charge the 30-year-old following the police investigation.

The England skipper was accused of racially abusing Ferdinand during the West London derby on October 23 at Loftus Road after video evidence was consulted following the Premier League match.

The Football Association were also alerted to the incident and have carried out their own separate investigation.

Terry has maintained his innocence throughout proceedings.
