Juan Mata: 'I'm trying to do my best for Chelsea'

Chelsea's Juan Mata says that he is trying to play his best football to keep himself in Jose Mourinho's squad.

Juan Mata has said that he is trying to play his best football for Chelsea this season.

The Spaniard found himself left out of the Stamford Bridge side's squad in the early part of the campaign, but started against Swindon Town in the Capital One Cup before coming off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

The 25-year-old told the team's official website: "I'm happy to play, I'm happy with how I played in the last three games and I'm happy with how the team played.

"I just try to do my best in every game and do everything I can in order to help the team. That's what I've been doing and I'm feeling good.

"I think we're in a good moment after the last three games. We won two of them and drew against Tottenham after playing really well in the second half, so now we have to keep going and build on that before the international break."

Chelsea travel to Norwich City on Sunday.
