Chelsea players 'preparing for Jose Mourinho exit'

A report suggests that the Chelsea squad are preparing for the exit of manager Jose Mourinho in the coming weeks following their poor start to the campaign.

Senior members of Chelsea's squad are preparing for the exit of manager Jose Mourinho in the near future, according to a report.

Reports have suggested that the Portuguese will be sacked by the Blues should his side lose to Liverpool in their next Premier League outing.

However, many players in the Chelsea squad apparently believe that the 52-year-old will leave the club no matter the outcome of the clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Despite the Blues' poor form this season it has been said that there has been no rebellion against Mourinho in the dressing room, although the players have been concerned about his behaviour over the course of the campaign, reports The Mirror.

The 52-year-old was charged with misconduct by the Football Association after remonstrating against referee Jon Moss following Nemanja Matic's sending-off against West Ham United, which resulted in him being sent from the touchline into the stands.

Mourinho was also fined for criticising referee Bobby Madley following his side's defeat to Southampton, and was widely maligned for his treatment of club doctor Eva Carneiro on the opening day of the season.

As a result of the incidents and their poor form, Chelsea's players are bracing themselves for his departure in the coming weeks.

The Blues have endured their worst start to a Premier League season as they are 15th in the table after losing five of their opening 10 matches.
