Team News: Gordon Greer out of Preston North End clash

Gordon Greer misses Brighton & Hove Albion's game with Preston North End after failing to shake off a knee injury.

Gordon Greer will miss Brighton & Hove Albion's game with Preston North End after failing to shake off a knee injury picked up last weekend against Leeds United.

Seagulls winger Kazenga LuaLua is nearing a return after a month out with a hamstring problem, but is unavailable for the visit of the Lilywhites.

Meanwhile, Preston boss Simon Grayson has opted to name last season's top scorer Joe Garner as a substitute, with Eoin Doyle starting up front.

Garner has completed a three-match ban, but must wait for a return to action as he joins summer signing Stevie May on the bench at the Amex Stadium.

Preston North End: Pickford, Vermijl, Woods, Wright, Cunningham, Reach, Johnson, Gallagher, Browne, Doyle, Hugill
