Real Madrid to pursue Alexis Sanchez?

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez should Cristiano Ronaldo depart the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid will look to Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez this summer if Cristiano Ronaldo departs the Bernabeu, according to a report from Spain.

The 26-year-old winger, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, has scored six goals in 12 appearances for the London side so far this term.

Spanish magazine Don Belan claims that Madrid are already weighing up potential replacements should Ronaldo decide to leave at the end of the current campaign. The Portuguese striker's contract runs until 2018 but in recent months he has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and former side Manchester United amid reports that he is tired of working under coach Rafael Benitez.

Sanchez signed for the Gunners on a four-year, £35m deal from Barcelona in 2014.
