A report claims that Arsenal are keen to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur have been joined by rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to a report.

The 22-year-old struggled for minutes into the latter stages of last season under Zinedine Zidane and is not believed to be part of the Frenchman's plans.

Spurs are rumoured to have already held face-to-face talks with the Spain international, but AS claims that Arsenal are also in the running to sign him.

Ceballos is apparently seeking a loan move, rather than a permanent transfer, but Madrid are keen to recoup some money.

Arsenal are willing to meet Los Blancos' asking price of around £45m, though that will eat up the whole of Unai Emery's budget.
