Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly held face-to-face talks with Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos over a move to the Premier League in this summer's transfer window.
Ceballos, 22, made 34 appearances for Madrid during the 2018-19 campaign but struggled for minutes in the latter stages of the season following Zinedine Zidane's return as head coach.
The Spaniard is said to be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu as Zidane prepares to rebuild the squad.
Tottenham were first linked with a move for the former Real Betis playmaker towards the end of last month.
According to Football Insider, the Champions League finalists have now stepped up their interest by holding face-to-face talks with the Spaniard over a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ceballos, who arrived at the Bernabeu from Real Betis in 2017, has also been linked with a move to West Ham United.
