Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte admits he is feeling "a bit scared" after eight players and five members of staff tested positive for coronavirus.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has admitted that he has been left "a bit scared" by the club's recent coronavirus outbreak.

The Spurs boss has confirmed that eight players and five members of staff have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of Thursday's Europa Conference League tie with Rennes.

The Lilywhites are still scheduled to play in midweek assuming that they have at least 13 players available - including a goalkeeper - but Conte has been left shaken by the situation.

"Everyone is a bit scared, we all have families. I ask why? Why? Yesterday we trained and two positives, today we trained and after another two positives. Who next? It's not right, we're going home to our families," Conte told a press conference, as quoted by football.london.

"The situation is serious. There's a big infection. And now, for sure, we're a bit scared. Because we don't know what is going to happen.

"We had 11 players available for the match and by the end of the training session today one of the players who would start tomorrow is now positive. It's scary. We're all having contact."

Tottenham could reportedly ask the Premier League to postpone Sunday's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion amid their coronavirus cluster.
