Premier League 100 club: Record-breaking Harry Kane closes in on Wayne Rooney

Sports Mole looks at the latest standings in the Premier League 100 club following Harry Kane's record-breaking brace against Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has moved to within two goals of the 200 mark in the Premier League courtesy of his brace against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.

The England captain netted twice in the space of five minutes at the start of the second half, beginning a blitz which eventually saw Antonio Conte's men run out convincing 4-0 winners.

Kane's first of the evening saw him surpass Alan Shearer's record for most goals in a player's first 300 Premier League appearances, while his second left him on 198 from those 300 games - now just two away from joining Shearer and Wayne Rooney as the only players with 200 Premier League goals to their names.

Indeed, Kane is now only 10 short of Rooney's top-flight tally despite playing 191 fewer games than the Manchester United legend, while he has become only the second player after Teddy Sheringham to score on his 100th, 200th and 300th Premier League outings.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the latest standings in the Premier League 100 club following Kane's latest exploits.
