Sunday's La Liga predictions including Real Madrid vs. Celta Vigo

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Real Madrid vs. Celta Vigo.

Alaves vs. Rayo Vallecano (Sunday, 1.00pm)

Two teams in disappointing form will lock horns in Spain's top flight on Sunday afternoon, with Alaves welcoming Rayo Vallecano to Mendizorrotza Stadium.

The home side are currently 13th in the La Liga table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone, while Rayo are 16th, seven points ahead of the bottom three with 11 games left.

We say: Alaves 1-1 Rayo Vallecano

It is difficult to back either side with any real confidence at the moment, and we are expecting the points to be shared on Sunday. Alaves have drawn eight times in the league this season, while Rayo have shared the points on 11 occasions, and we are predicting 1-1 this weekend.

Las Palmas vs. Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Estadio Gran Canaria will play host to an intriguing La Liga affair on Sunday afternoon, as Las Palmas welcome Athletic Bilbao, with both teams chasing European finishes this term.

The hosts currently sit eighth in the La Liga table, five points behind sixth-placed Real Betis, while Athletic occupy fifth, five points behind fourth-placed Atletico Madrid.

We say: Las Palmas 1-1 Athletic Bilbao

There have only been two goals in the last three La Liga meetings between these two sides, and we are expecting another tight match on Sunday. Athletic need to win to stay in the top-four race, but Las Palmas have been so impressive this season, and we are expecting the hosts to be good enough for a point.

Real Madrid vs. Celta Vigo (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Real Madrid will be bidding to return to winning ways on Sunday evening, when they welcome relegation-threatened Celta Vigo to Bernabeu in Spain's top flight.

Los Blancos are currently top of the La Liga table, seven points ahead of second-placed Girona, while Celta sit down in 17th position, five points ahead of 18th-placed Cadiz.

We say: Real Madrid 2-0 Celta Vigo

Real Madrid are not in their best form of the season, and Celta certainly have the players to make this a difficult match despite their poor position in the table. Los Blancos will be determined to return to winning ways, though, and we are expecting Ancelotti's side to navigate their way to all three points in the capital.

Betis vs. Villarreal (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Both Real Betis and Villarreal will be aiming to bounce back from defeats when they lock horns at Estadio Benito Villamarin in Spain's top flight on Sunday evening.

The home side lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid in La Liga last weekend, while Villarreal were thumped 4-0 by Marseille in the first leg of their last-16 Europa League contest on Thursday night.

We say: Real Betis 2-1 Villarreal

Real Betis will certainly be the fresher of the two teams entering this match, and we are backing the Seville outfit to edge a close contest. Villarreal's recent form in La Liga has been strong, but Thursday's 4-0 loss at Marseille world have done some damage, and we are expecting a home success here.
