Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Saint-Etienne

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Paris Saint-Germain vs. Saint-Etienne.

PSG vs. St Etienne (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Having dumped the Champions League holders out in the quarter-finals of the competition, Paris Saint-Germain resume their quest for domestic success on Sunday when they welcome Saint-Etienne to the Parc des Princes.

Les Parisiens currently sit four points adrift of leaders Lille, while Saint-Etienne have boosted their survival prospects with three wins from their last four.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Saint-Etienne

PSG have bigger fish to fry heading into the final few weeks of the season, but failing to retain the Ligue 1 title would be an early blot on Pochettino's notebook. The Argentine will be forced into some rotation and may choose to switch others around given their impending Coupe de France quarter-final, but they should still have too much for Saint-Etienne - albeit an in-form one - and we can only back a comfortable win for the capital side.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Dijon vs. Nice (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Dijon's relegation from Ligue 1 could be confirmed this weekend as they prepare to welcome Nice to the Stade Gaston Gerard in gameweek 33 on Sunday afternoon.

Les Hiboux are 17 points adrift of safety with only six games left to play, whereas Nice seem destined to finish in mid-table obscurity despite their recent upturn in form.

We say: Dijon 0-2 Nice

Linares will be refusing to give up hope while it is still mathematically possible for his side to pull off a great escape, but results elsewhere could seal his side's fate this weekend. It may be too little too late for Nice with regard to their European ambitions, but the in-form Aiglons should have no problem returning to winning ways and condemning the hapless Hiboux to a record-breaking defeat.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Brest vs. Lens (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Brest take on Lens in Ligue 1 on Sunday, with the visitors aiming to extend their impressive 11-match unbeaten league run and remain in fifth position in the table.

The home team, meanwhile, have a six-point cushion above the relegation zone, so cannot rest easy just yet.

We say: Brest 1-1 Lens

Lens' COVID-19 outbreak will almost certainly have an impact on their chances in the match, particularly with Haise unable to call upon many options from the bench if they are required.

However, Brest are struggling to find wins at the moment, so we can see Lens extending their fine unbeaten run.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Nimes vs. Strasbourg (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Nimes take on Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Sunday, with the visitors able to all but end any lingering relegation fears with a victory.

The home side, who currently occupy 18th place in the table, are six points behind Strasbourg and the two sides below them with only six matches remaining.

We say: Nimes 1-2 Strasbourg

Even without the injured Ajorque, we expect Strasbourg to be too strong for the hosts and end any relegation fears they still have this campaign.

Nimes were fortunate to gain a point at Brest last time out, with Laurey's side possessing the quality to punish them.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Reims vs. Metz (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Boulaye Dia pictured for Reims in August 2020© Reuters

Reims take on Metz in Ligue 1 on Sunday, with the visitors looking to prevent a run of three consecutive defeats becoming four.

The home team, meanwhile, are on an unbeaten run of eight matches, and can leapfrog their forthcoming opponents with a victory as well as potentially moving into the top half of the table depending on results elsewhere.

We say: Reims 1-0 Metz

With Metz still missing several key players, we can envisage Reims edging a tight encounter to leapfrog their opponents in the table.

The fitness of Dia, who has scored 14 goals for Reims in Ligue 1 this season, will undoubtedly have a huge influence on the result in what is likely to be a low-scoring affair.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Bordeaux vs. Monaco (Sunday, 4.05pm)

Still dreaming of a historic Ligue 1 title triumph, Monaco will aim to keep the pressure on the top two when they do battle with Bordeaux at the Matmut Atlantique on Sunday afternoon.

Les Girondins were thrashed 4-1 by Saint-Etienne last time out, whereas Monaco boosted their title bid with a resounding 3-0 success against basement side Dijon.

We say: Bordeaux 1-2 Monaco

Monaco's admirable defensive resilience will be put to the test by Hwang as he aims to score for the fifth game in a row, and Bordeaux simply have to pull themselves out of their rut sooner rather than later. The hosts are capable of making it a tricky afternoon for Kovac's men, but we cannot envisage Les Monegasques slipping up and can only back another win on the road for the title hopefuls.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Nantes vs. Lyon (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Lyon's Jason Denayer celebrates with teammates after scoring against Rennes on January 9, 2021© Reuters

Lyon will endeavour to stay in the Ligue 1 title race when they take on relegation-threatened Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire to round off the action in gameweek 33.

Antoine Kombouare's men fell to defeat in last week's Brittany derby against Rennes, while Lyon claimed a long-awaited three points with a convincing 3-0 success over Angers.

We say: Nantes 0-2 Lyon

Garcia has potentially unearthed another winning formula with his timely switch to a 4-2-3-1, and a Nantes team boasting a miserable home record are highly unlikely to prevent Lyon extending their unbeaten away run in the league to 15 matches, so a comfortable win for Les Gones is the only outcome that we can predict.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
