Juventus are planning a move to sign Chelsea and England midfielder Mason Mount, according to a report.

The 23-year-old's long-term future at Stamford Bridge is believed to be uncertain, with his contract due to expire in the summer of 2024.

A recent report claims that the academy graduate has turned down a £200,000-per-week contract extension at Chelsea, but the West Londoners are planning to reopen talks in the New Year.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is keen to tie Mount down to fresh terms and the Blues are allegedly confident that the midfielder will eventually commit his future to the club.

Nevertheless, speculation continues to swirl surrounding Mount's next career move and a number of top European clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on his situation.

According to Calciomercato, Mount is 'in the sights' of Juve head coach Massimiliano Allegri, who has identified the midfielder as a potential target for next summer.

The report adds that the Italian giants are prepared to sacrifice midfield trio Adrien Rabiot, Weston McKennie and Leandro Paredes to help free up funds for 'an assault' on Mount at the end of the season.

Rabiot, who is currently away on World Cup duty with France, has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus, with his contract set to expire in June 2023.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave the Serie A outfit should he fail to agree terms over an extension, and the midfielder has publicly expressed his desire to play in England at some stage in his career amid interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

McKennie, meanwhile, still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract in Turin, but Juve are prepared to part ways with the USA international 'to raise cash' for new recruits such as Mount.

The 24-year-old, who has previously been linked with the likes of Tottenham, Leeds United and West Ham United, is thought to be valued by Juve at around £25m.

As for Paredes, the Argentine midfielder is expected to leave Juventus when his loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has endured an underwhelming spell in Turin and has struggled to cement his place as a first-team regular under Allegri, starting only seven of his 17 appearances in all competitions.

It remains to be seen whether Mount, who has also attracted interest from Liverpool, would be tempted to move abroad and join Juventus, with the midfielder having previously admitted that he is "very happy" at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to the Evening Standard earlier this year, Mount said "[Chelsea] a team that over the last ten years has been up there and pushing and that is where we want to stay. Speaking to [the club's owners] about their goals and aims, we're on the same page.

"So hopefully that continues. I've got two years left on my contract and I'm very, very happy here. Those talks will hopefully be starting soon."

Mount has made a total of 181 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and registering 37 assists.
