Fulham complete the signing of former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian on a free transfer for the 2022-23 campaign.

Fulham have completed the signing of former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian on a one-year deal.

The Brazilian had been a free agent after leaving Corinthians earlier this month, and the newly-promoted Cottagers have now snapped him up on a free transfer.

Willian has put pen to paper on a short-term deal which will keep him at the club for the remainder of the 2022-23 season, with the 34-year-old returning to West London following a seven-year stint with Chelsea from 2013 to 2020.

"I'm happy to be here, I'm happy to be back in the Premier League," he told the club's official website.

"Fulham is a special club, a club that wants to improve, that wants to fight for something bigger, so I'm here to help, and I can't wait to get started."

Chairman Tony Khan added: "I'm very happy that Willian has officially signed with Fulham.

"He's been impressive during his recent training sessions with our squad, and we believe that adding a player of Willian's quality and someone with his vast experience will strengthen the club as we work to build on the strong start that we've had to this Premier League season!"

Willian becomes Fulham's second signing of transfer deadline day following the announcement of Layvin Kurzawa's arrival just 15 minutes earlier.

The Cottagers have now made nine signings in total since their promotion back to the Premier League, also bringing in Joao Palhinha, Andreas Pereira, Manor Solomon, Kevin Mbabu, Bernd Leno, Shane Duffy and Issa Diop this summer.
