Graham Potter's first season in charge of Brighton & Hove Albion has been an up-and-down affair, but if the campaign was to end tomorrow then they would no doubt be happy with their efforts overall.
The Seagulls went into the coronavirus lockdown very much embroiled in a relegation battle, but not quite as vulnerable to the drop as some of the other teams also scrapping for survival.
Brighton sit in 15th place, two points clear of 18th-placed Bournemouth and four above Aston Villa, who have a game in hand over their fellow strugglers.
It is the club's third successive season in the top flight and they have enjoyed some memorable moments - namely cruising past Tottenham Hotspur and beating Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium - but they have failed to win a single game in any competition since the turn of the year.
Here, the Sports Mole team selects who they think has been Brighton's player of the season so far.
Barney Corkhill, Editor: Lewis Dunk

Brighton's best work is often done as a collective team effort, and so no one player has really stood out this season, but captain Lewis Dunk has been at the forefront of their relegation battle. Neal Maupay deserves a mention - he is comfortably Brighton's leading scorer in the league - but Dunk has made valuable contributions at both ends of the field.
Of course, the 28-year-old's primary purpose is to keep goals out, and he has made more clearances than any of his Brighton teammates, in addition to being second for most interceptions and third for most aerial duels won.
Dunk offers more than that, though, topping the passing charts for the Seagulls while also contributing two goals and three assists from centre-back - in the latter category only Pascal Gross has managed more for Brighton this term.

A record of six clean sheets in 29 Premier League appearances is not exactly terrific, but there is no question that Mathew Ryan has again been a hugely important figure for Brighton this season.
The 28-year-old has not missed a single minute of league action for the Seagulls this term, making 92 saves in the process. Without him, Brighton could be in the relegation zone at this stage.

While none of Brighton's squad have stood out this season, it is difficult to dispute that Neal Maupay has been their most effective player. A return of eight goals and two assists from the summer signing does not tell the whole story, with each of his contributions coming in separate games.
For a club fighting for survival, they have proven invaluable. Remarkably, Brighton have not lost a single fixture when Maupay has added to his tally, helping the Seagulls to five wins and five draws.
Although Brighton sit just two points above the relegation zone, they would be in the bottom three if it wasn't for the £20m Frenchman.

Regardless of what formation Graham Potter has gone with this season, one thing has remained consistent - Dunk's place in the backline.
The Brighton skipper has impressed once again this term, so much so that there is talk of a move to a top-six club at the end of the campaign.

Lewis Dunk has been the standout performer for Brighton this season. His performances in the heart of Graham Potter's defence have been consistent throughout the campaign, and he has often popped up at the other end of the pitch with two goals and three assists this term. The Seagulls are sure to be inundated with offers for Dunk should they go down.
Neal Maupay was a worthy candidate after a strong first season in the Premier League, but the Frenchman's goals have dried up since Christmas.
