Neymar reveals breakdown in Santos relationship

Barcelona attacker Neymar insists that he will not return to his former club Santos while the current board remains in place at the Brazilian outfit.

Barcelona attacker Neymar has insisted that he will not return to former club Santos while the current board remains in place at the Brazilian outfit.

The 24-year-old led Santos to three successive Campeonato Paulistas from 2010 to 2012, in addition to the 2010 Copa do Brasil title and Copa Libertadores crown in 2011.

Upon his departure for Barcelona in 2013, Neymar left a message in his locker which revealed his intention to return to the club before hanging up his boots.

However, the Brazil captain has claimed that he will not represent his former club under the current board after the finances behind his move to Camp Nou became part of a legal battle in Spain.

"I left a message in my locker when I left there saying: 'I'm going, but I will return'. But today, with the board they have there, I do not have the intention of returning," Neymar told Playboy.

Neymar scored 136 goals in 225 games for Santos between 2009 and 2013.
