Arsenal are planning to make a fresh approach for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, according to a report.
Mikel Arteta's side have already spent in excess of £200m on three new signings this summer, with the club-record addition of Declan Rice last weekend following the arrivals of Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz.
However, the Gunners boss recently suggested that his side remain in the market for new players and he has refused to rule out making further signings ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Despite signing Rice, Arsenal are believed to be weighing up a move for another midfielder following the permanent departure of Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen earlier this month.
The futures of midielders Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi Lokonga are also uncertain, with the former attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and the latter allegedly wanted by both Crystal Palace and Burnley.

Lavia has emerged as one of the most sought-after midfielders in England following Southampton's relegation from the Premier League last season.
Despite having only spent one season with the Saints, following his £14m move from Manchester City last summer, it is widely expected that the 19-year-old will secure a move away from St Mary's this summer.
Arsenal are one of a number of clubs said to be interested in Lavia, and a report last month claims that the Gunners have reached a verbal agreement with the youngster over a summer transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Football Insider, the North Londoners are preparing a new move for Lavia and they are set to rival both Liverpool and Chelsea for his signature.

The report adds that Liverpool have held talks with Southampton over a deal for the Belgium international, but they are only willing offer as much as £40m, which falls short of the Saints' £50m valuation.
Southampton are said to be keen to maximise the value for Lavia during a time when interest in his services is rife, while they are aware that Man City will receive 20% of any fee received due to a sell-on clause.
Lavia made a notable impression in his debut campaign with Southampton and started 26 games in his first full season as a Premier League player in 2022-23.
Arsenal could generate funds for their pursuit of the deep-lying midfielder if they agree to part ways with the likes of Partey, Nicolas Pepe and Folarin Balogun, with the latter allegedly valued at around £50m.
