Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League meeting with Arsenal.

Manchester City take on Arsenal in the Premier League on Wednesday night looking to boost their chances of securing second position in the standings.

After City suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Sunday, Liverpool now require just two more victories to secure the top-flight crown.

As well as the three-day turnaround, manager Pep Guardiola also has a number of injury concerns to contend with ahead of welcoming the Gunners to the North-West.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Arsenal)

Having missed the last two matches with a back injury, De Bruyne remains as a considerable doubt for the meeting with the Gunners. With next week's Champions League clash with Real Madrid taking priority, the Belgian could be rested.

Aymeric Laporte

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: March 21 (vs. Newcastle United)

While Laporte is making progress from the hamstring injury sustained against Real Madrid at the end of last month, the Frenchman will not be back in contention for at least another week.

Leroy Sane

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Burnley)

Despite having spent a number of weeks involved in first-team training, Sane is still to make his long-awaited return from a serious knee injury. With 57 minutes having been played in a second-string game, it now remains up to Guardiola when the Germany international features in a senior match.

Sergio Aguero

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Arsenal)

After being withdrawn against Man United at the weekend, Aguero was shown to have received attention for a thigh problem. With more important fixtures to come later this month, it would be a surprise if the Argentine starts versus the Gunners.

MAN CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

City have no suspension concerns ahead of this Premier League showdown.
