World number one Novak Djokovic will fight Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Masters after securing a 6-0 7-6[6] victory over Sam Querrey.
The Serbian looked on course to wrap up the contest early by storming through the first set, while his American opponent was unable to put one game on the board.
Despite a strong start, Djokovic was up against it in the second set as Querrey was able to hold serve and execute swift returns to put the number one seed under pressure.
The set was forced into a tie-break, which Djokovic just edged to secure a place in the final eight of the competition in California.
