Harlequins have confirmed that Jamie Roberts has agreed to join them from next season.
The 28-year-old Wales international will arrive at the Twickenham Stoop following a two-year stint with Top 14 outfit Racing Metro.
"The whole club is ecstatic to have signed a player of Jamie's quality," director of rugby Conor O'Shea told the club's official website.
"He is massively ambitious to achieve at both club and international level. As a role model to all of our players, he will be someone we can all learn from."
Meanwhile, Roberts added: "I'm delighted to have signed for Harlequins. Having played in Cardiff and in Paris, moving to London is a chance for me to experience and further develop my career in a different league.
"My desire to compete and win at both club and International level remains as strong as ever and the brand of rugby Harlequins play will challenge my skill set and no doubt help me improve as a rugby player."
The centre also revealed that he has been accepted to study for a Masters degree in medical science at Cambridge University.
