Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm that they will not be following up a move for free agent striker Shola Ameob,i who has recently been training with the Championship club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they will not be signing forward Shola Ameobi.

The former Newcastle United frontman had been training with the Championship outfit recently, but the club have now revealed on Twitter that boss Kenny Jackett will not be progressing with talks to sign the striker:

Kenny Jackett confirms that Wolves will not be proceeding with Shola Ameobi but thanks the forward for his brief time in training.

Wolves currently occupy 18th place in the league table after seven games.
