Owen Coyle praises "outstanding" Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle praises his team after drawing their Europa League match against Zulte Waregem.

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle has praised his team after drawing tonight's Europa League match against Zulte Waregem.

The Latics were playing their first fixture in European competition and Coyle was delighted to see his side claimed a goalless draw away to their Belgium opponents.

"From start to finish it was an outstanding debut in European football for everyone associated with the football club," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"The players performed out of their skins and defended well when they had to.

"It is certainly a well-earned point. I am delighted overall."
