West Ham United want to sign former Blackburn Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf on a free transfer, according to The Mirror.
Diouf is still a free agent after Blackburn terminated the Senegalese player's contract in August.
Hammers manager Sam Allardyce has worked with Diouf at Bolton in the past and is ready to offer Diouf a contract.
Earlier this year, Diouf said: "Working with Sam? That would be a fantastic thing to do. Sam is a fantastic manager and very good man. I would be delighted to work under him again."
Rumours of a possible move to Upton Park were fuelled further by a post from John Carew on his Twitter account.
Carew posted a photo that appeared to show Diouf's head, along with the message: "Now can u peeps guesss who showed up for training today? :D".
Diouf has played for Sochaux, Rennes, Lens, Liverpool, Bolton, Sunderland and Blackburn during his career.
