New Watford boss Oscar Garcia won't snatch Nathan Jones from old club Brighton

New Watford head coach Oscar Garcia won't try to poach former assistant Nathan Jones from fellow Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Watford head coach Oscar Garcia has insisted that he won't try to poach former assistant Nathan Jones from his old club Brighton & Hove Albion.

Garcia was announced as the new Hornets boss last week after resigning from his job at Brighton at the end of last season.

He returned to former club Maccabi Tel Aviv, but has since had to leave that job too because of security fears in Israel.

Jones is still with Brighton as a first-team coach under Sami Hyypia and Garcia said that he won't disturb the Seagulls.

When asked if he would move to bring Jones to Hertfordshire, Garcia said: "No. He is doing a good job there and will not come here.

"We are trying to find the best people. It's not about the number of people, it's about finding the right people."

Garcia joins Watford with the club second in the Championship. His first match in charge will be against unbeaten Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
