Luis Alavaro: 'Neymar could sign new Santos deal'

Alvaro: 'Neymar could stay at Santos'
Neymar could be offered a new contract to stay at Santos, according to the club's chairman.

Santos chairman Luis Alvaro has claimed that the club are preparing to offer Neymar a new contract.

The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a move to Europe in the near future, but Alvaro admits that there have been talks over a contract extension for the 20-year-old.

"We are already talking about the chance of getting a new deal for him (Neymar) and it is a dream of mine to keep him here," Alvaro said.

"I also think he is happy with his big salary here and he certainly deserves it."

Neymar was recently named in the Brazil squad to face England at Wembley on February 6.
