Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has signed a new contract with the club until 2018.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Black Cats' academy in 2002, spent last season on loan at Burton Albion and Carlisle United respectively.
"Last season was massive for me. I played games at Burton and at Carlisle, which was great experience," Pickford is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"I want to keep developing and working hard and I'm delighted to sign a contract with the club I have always supported."
Pickford made a total of 31 appearances for Burton and Carlisle during the 2013-14 campaign.
