Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson satisfied by draw with Hull City

Sebastian Larsson believes that Sunderland can be satisfied by their draw at Hull City.

Sebastian Larsson has praised Sunderland for 'digging deep' to earn a 1-1 draw at Hull City.

The Black Cats edged four points clear of the relegation zone last night as they came from behind to secure a share of the spoils at the KC Stadium.

Dame N'Doye put the hosts ahead early on before Jack Rodwell netted a late equaliser for the visitors.

Despite admitting that he and his teammates could have won the game against their fellow strugglers, Larsson believes that Sunderland can be satisfied with a point.

"In way we're pleased to have come back from a losing position, especially because of the way they got the goal as it was sloppy defending," he told the club's official website.

"We dug deep because I thought we had a spell where we struggled after the goal, but we slowly got to grips with it in the second half and I thought we were the better team. We were pleased to come back but I think we're also a little disappointed we haven't won the game."

Sunderland are back in Premier League action on March 14 when they entertain Aston Villa at the Stadium of Light.
