Robert Huth has insisted that the Stoke City squad will be "gutted" if Kenwyne Jones decides to leave the club this month.
The centre-forward has been tipped to depart the Britannia Stadium after manager Tony Pulis admitted that he would not stand in the 28-year-old's way.
However, despite his manager's acceptance, Huth has revealed that the reported Swansea City target has been a key player for the Potters over recent weeks.
"I think the whole club and the lads would be gutted if he leaves, especially with the form he has been in recently," the German defender told The Sentinel.
"Either when he has started or come on, he has made a massive difference to us. He has scored a few goals so we would be disappointed if he did go, but it would be a great signing for Swansea."
Jones joined Stoke from Sunderland in 2010 for a fee in the region of £8m.
