Stoke City will reportedly accept a bid of £4.5m for Kenwyne Jones despite Tony Pulis admitting they did not need to sell him.

Stoke City have apparently told Swansea City that they will need to pay £4.5m if they want to sign Kenwyne Jones.

Tony Pulis confirmed yesterday that a bid had been made, but the Stoke boss admitted that a move was up to the striker himself.

According to the Daily Mail a bid of £4.5m would force Stoke's hand for the Trinidad international, who joined for £8m in 2010.

It is also thought that a move could depend on the fitness of Peter Crouch, who is still struggling to overcome a mouth injury.

Swansea beat Stoke 3-1 yesterday to move within a point of West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool.
