Tottenham are interested in making a bid for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly interested in making a January bid for Brazilian forward and Barcelona target Leandro Damiao.

The Spurs boss is understood to have had two bids of under £15m rejected for the Internacional striker earlier this summer, but remains eager on adding the 22-year-old to his team, according to The People.

Redknapp will be looking for mid-season reinforcements following his side's poor start to the season. However, Internacional vice-president Luis Anapa insists that the striker, who has since signed a new contract with the club, will not be allowed to leave for less than his £44m release clause.

While Spurs will not be willing to spend that much, the London club are believed to be planning an incentive-based deal for the star.
