Report: Andros Townsend considering future at Tottenham Hotspur

A report suggests that Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend is mulling over his future at the club due to concerns over his place in the England squad.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend is reportedly considering his future at the club over concerns about his England place for Euro 2016.

The 24-year-old has struggled to break into the first team under Mauricio Pochettino due to a lack of form and injury problems during the Argentine's tenure at the club.

The Mirror has claimed that Spurs tried to offer Townsend as part of a deal used to attempt to lure Saido Berahino away from West Bromwich before the club put in a straight cash bid for the 22-year-old, while Aston Villa and Sunderland were said to have made enquiries for his services over the summer.

As a result, the winger is now mulling over whether to leave White Hart Lane in January to improve his chances of being selected for Roy Hodgson's potential squad for Euro 2016, depending on whether he is able to regain a first-team place at the Lane over next few months.

Townsend has made nine appearances for England, scoring three goals.
