South Africa coach Gordon Igesund will remain in charge of the national team after receiving the backing of the SAFA technical committee.
It had been reported that Igesund was in danger of being removed from his position after South Africa's poor display at the African Nations Championship.
The host nation were eliminated during the group stages, which resulted in the team being described as a "bunch of losers" by South Africa's sports minister Fikile Mbalula.
However, after a meeting was held to determine Igesund's future, it was decided that the 57-year-old would retain his role for the upcoming friendly with Brazil on March 5.
