Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray rules out Ally McCoist exit

Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray claims that Ally McCoist will not be sacked from the club.

Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray has insisted that Ally McCoist will remain as manager of the Gers, despite reports that the Scotsman could be on his way out of the club.

The 49-year-old was thought to be on the brink of walking out of the club after losing faith in soon-to-be-owner Charles Green.

"We want Ally to commit, then move forward," Murray told BBC Scotland. "It's our stated policy that he's an integral part of the club and he's been told that."

There have been reports that Green is keen to let go of McCoist but the businessman has since denied these claims.
