Queens Park Rangers have announced that they have released striker Jay Bothroyd from his contract.
Bothroyd's contract included an option for the club to release him after two years, and QPR have opted to exercise this.
"The club would like to thank Jay for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future," QPR said in a statement on their official website.
The 31-year-old, who made 31 appearances for QPR since joining them in 2011, is now free to join another club.
