The Football Association has charged Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson with improper conduct following his side's game against Colchester United last weekend.
It is alleged that Ferguson's "language and/or behaviour during half time of this fixture amounted to improper conduct".
The Posh were beaten 2-0 at London Road, pushing them down to 11th place in the League One table.
Ferguson has until 6pm on Monday to respond to the charge.
Peterborough, who are back in action this Saturday at Port Vale, have lost four of their last six matches.
