Peter Butler has admitted that he is looking forward to the "challenge" of coaching Botswana.
The Englishman has fought off competition from Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic to replace Stanley Tshosane, and the former West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United midfielder has revealed that he has already started looking to the future with his new side.
The 47-year-old told BBC Sport: "I am really excited and looking forward to the challenge.
"There is a huge amount of talent here. I particularly want to recruit players from the Botswana Premier League Under-20s - young players for the future."
Butler has signed a two-year deal with the African nation.
