Manchester United 'block Ole Gunnar Solskjaer transfer plans'

Manchester United reportedly prevented manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from making further changes to his squad during the summer transfer window.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly failed to push through all of his transfer plans during the summer window.

While the Norwegian was successful in signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James, Ander Herrera and Romelu Lukaku remain the only high-profile outgoings from Old Trafford.

Despite Alexis Sanchez being likely to join that list in the near future, the London Evening Standard claims that Solskjaer had been hoping for more activity.

The report says that Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo were not expected to be at United at this stage of the summer with neither player featuring in Solskjaer's plans.

To atone for the departure of Herrera, there had also been a desire to add another central midfielder, but the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Sean Longstaff and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic all stayed at their respective clubs.
