Report: Manchester United reactivate Wesley Sneijder interest

Manchester United are reportedly plotting to launch another bid to sign Dutch star Wesley Sneijder, who is currently playing for Galatasaray.

Manchester United are reportedly plotting to launch another bid to sign Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder.

The Red Devils came close to signing Sneijder in 2011 when the player was at Inter Milan, but a proposed move fell through due to his high wage demands.

Sneijder has since joined Galatasaray, where it is said that the 29-year-old's contract includes a £13m release clause.

United manager David Moyes recently admitted that he was keen to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.

According to The Guardian, Moyes has reactivated United's interest in Sneijder, who currently earns around £4.2m a year in Turkey.

Sneijder has been capped 96 times by the Netherlands at senior international level and has played Champions League football for four different clubs - Ajax, Real Madrid, Inter and Galatasaray.
