Manchester United have reportedly been told that they can sign West Ham United centre-back Issa Diop this summer for a figure in the region of £45m.
The Red Devils are said to be in the market for a new central defender, with the futures of Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones all undecided ahead of next season.
United were linked with Diop last summer, and according to Sky Sports News, the club could have been given the green light to land the Frenchman in the coming weeks.
The report states that the Hammers need to sell players this summer to balance the books and would be prepared to accept offers of £45m for the defender.
Reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims that 'at least two Premier League clubs' are interested in signing Diop, who is said to collect in the region of £50,000 a week in wages at the London Stadium.
United also continue to be linked with Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, but the Red Devils are said to be struggling to agree personal terms with the England international.
