Danny Welbeck is pleased to be amongst the goalscorers again as Manchester United beat Aston Villa 4-0 at Old Trafford.

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck admitted that he was pleased to end his goal drought in his side's 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

The 21-year-old put the Red Devils 2-0 ahead at Old Trafford as they restored their five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table.

Despite only one goal in his previous 14 appearances, the forward was glad to find his goalscoring touch again this weekend.

"I definitely want to get amongst the goals and it's been a few games since I got my last one," he told MUTV. "But the main thing is getting three points in every game I play in. That gets us closer to the title. I would like to score more goals, though.

"It was a good result for the team and we're looking forward to getting the next three points now, because those are going to be important."

United continue the defence of their title next Sunday when they host Everton at Old Trafford.
