David Moyes talks up Premier League experience

David Moyes insists that he has enough Premier League experience to be in charge of Manchester United.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has insisted that he has enough Premier League experience to be in charge of the club.

The Scot replaced Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford over the summer following an 11-year spell with Everton.

"I'm a rookie at Manchester United but I am not a rookie overall," Moyes is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "I'm going to work hard to maintain Manchester United at the top of the league.

"Sometimes it's forgotten I've managed in the Premier League for 11 years so I'm relatively experienced."

United begin the defence of their Premier League title at Swansea City later today (Saturday).
