Report: Marouane Fellaini suffering with rib problem

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is reportedly currently suffering with a damaged rib.

Marouane Fellaini will reportedly miss the rest of Manchester United's festive fixtures with a damaged rib.

United boss Louis van Gaal claimed last week that the Belgian missed the Boxing Day win over Newcastle United with a virus.

However, the Daily Mail claims that the physical midfielder is currently suffering with a rib injury that he picked up in the 3-0 win over Liverpool earlier this month.

As a result, Fellaini will miss the upcoming league games against Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City, but is expected to return for the FA Cup third-round match against Yeovil Town a week on Sunday.

Fellaini has been a regular as United have won seven of their last eight games in the league.
