Phil Jones, Ander Herrera remain absent for Leicester City trip

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says that both Phil Jones and Ander Herrera will remain absent for the club's Premier League clash away at Leicester City.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that he does not know when Phil Jones and Ander Herrera will return to the club's first-team squad.

Both players picked up injuries during the 2-1 win at Watford last weekend, causing them to miss the 0-0 draw with PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League in midweek.

United will again be without the defender and midfielder for Saturday's trip to Leicester City, and Van Gaal has suggested that he is unsure when they will make a recovery.

The Dutchman told reporters: "I cannot say that also because these kind of injuries you cannot predict. I don't think it is weeks, but I think within two weeks, one of the two can come back. But I don't know, you can never predict that, because injuries are unpredictable."

United will go top of the Premier League table with a win at the King Power Stadium.
