Manchester City have announced that young midfielder Seko Fofana has joined Ligue 1 side SC Bastia on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old joined City in 2013 from the academy of French outfit Lorient, but is yet to feature for the club's first team in a competitive game.
The Frenchman had featured twice as a substitute for City's first team in the pre-season tour to Australia, but the club have decided to allow him to "continue his football education" in Ligue 1.
Fofana spent last season on loan at Championship side Fulham, where he made 25 appearances in all competitions and scored once.
