Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne admits that he and each of his teammates are keen to win the Premier League title against Manchester United.

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has acknowledged that Manchester City would like to win the Premier League title with victory over Manchester United.

With eight matches remaining, City hold a 16-point advantage over United in the standings and a win over Everton in their next fixture will set up the opportunity to lift the top-flight trophy against their neighbours at the Etihad Stadium on April 7.

De Bruyne has admitted that City cannot afford to overlook their meeting with the Toffees at Goodison Park, but the Belgian playmaker has already started to anticipate a fairytale conclusion to their league campaign.

The 26-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I think all of City would like that - to try and win that game for the title - but if it's not, it's not.

"To go to Everton is a very hard game, we know that. They are probably already safe, so we will see, but it seems so long now to that game. I just hope everybody comes back healthy to play the last part."

City are attempting to win the treble, having already won the EFL Cup and progressed through to the Champions League quarter-finals.
