Sergio Aguero injured in car crash?

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero reportedly suffers broken ribs in a car crash.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has reportedly been involved in a car crash in Amsterdam.

The 29-year-old is said to have been travelling in a taxi to the airport when the driver "lost control of the vehicle" and hit a bollard on the side of the road.

The Argentine was in the Netherlands to attend a gig thrown by the Colombian singer Maluma on Thursday night and was starting the trip back to Manchester when the accident occurred.

Aguero is not thought to have been seriously injured but did suffer a fractured rib, with sources telling ESPN Sur that he will now be out for six to eight weeks.

In a post on Instagram early on Thursday evening, Aguero was pictured alongside Maluma in the back of a car.

@maluma . Gracias por la invitación !! 👌🏽
